Why doesn't my cat have normal cat eyes?

Well it depends on the lighting and if they are shocked or scared or something. My cats eyes are sometimes diamondish, but when she is surprised, or when it is a little dimmer, her pupils go to big, wide circles. Also, cats are different, and I'm pretty sure she's probably fine.
