I cannot access folders which are named with spaces in their names in windows when i use linux command line.?

i have oth windows and linux operating systems but i cannot access folders which have spaces in their names form the the linux command line .... i cannot even open a flash disk if it was named with spaces like "my flash" though i can access "myflash" from linux command line.
