Whats a good power saw?

Well im not too good with tools but I want to purchase a new saw for my father and im sort of strapped on cash and only got about $200 and I can probably get a little more than that. I was looking at the Omni Dual Say for $180 and it looked decent but when I saw the reviews I heard that it was horrible due to the motor and plastic embly. My father isn't really a person who uses a saw every single day rather then on certain projects. So should I consider getting the Dual Saw or is it a bad saw overall and if so then can someone recommend a good saw that wont make me go broke. Thanks ahead of time
