Should i call him?

we used to talk all the time, and he would call me all the time. then he got a little mad at me and then he told me to call him. i did and we talked for a little while and it was back to normal. the next day i called him and we talked ofr like 10 mins. the next day i called him and he was wit his friend and his friend hung up on me. i called him later and he wouldnt pick up. should i call him or leave him alone. he still talks to me at school, and if hes not with his friends we have better conversations
